Meet Our Boys Directors

Hector Joined Uno in 2017 as the coach of our Boys 18 Elite Team. His experience made an immediate impact to the boys program and was promoted to Assoc. Director Boys Volleyball at the end of that season. 

"Volleyball has been a big part of my life since 1990, when I first learned the game while in the Marine Corps. The game and coaching are my passion, to be able to mentor athletes on their journey and in life is a privilege I will never take for granted."

INDIANA UNIV. – PURDUE UNIV. FORT WAYNE (IPFW) (1994)

• Red-shirt on 1994 NCAA DIVISION I Final Four team
• Played for H.O.F. Coach Arnie Ball
• Teammate to H.O.F Setter and Olympic Gold Medalist Lloy Ball

TRI-STATE UNIVERSITY (1998, 99, 00)

• 1998 NAIA/MIVA Champions
• Captain of the 2000 SSI/NAIA National Invitational 5th place team.

Coaching Experience

UNO VOLLEYBALL CLUB (2017 to Present)

• Three players recognized on Volleyball Magazine’s “Fab 50 List” (20019, 2023).
• One player named to USA Volleyball Colligate National Team
• USA HP Evaluator (2018, 2019)
• Third Place finish at the 2022 USA National Championship Tournament (Club Division)

THE UNIVERSITY OF SAINT FRANCIS, IN (2001 to 2008)

Head Volleyball Coach – overall record: 139-126 overall & 39-22 conference

• Guided team to university’s first volleyball Conference Championship (2003, 7-0) & Conference Runner-up (2006).
• Six consecutive Conference Tournament Semi-Finals appearances 2001-2006. Tournament Runner-up in 2003.
• Program awarded with Twenty-seven All-Conference players and two Conference Freshmen of the Year, One All-American award (first for volleyball in school history), eight Academic All-American awards, and seven All-Region awards.
• Two players named to school H.O.F
• University received first national recognition for volleyball, ranked as high as 20th in the nation (2003).
• Participated in NAIA Nation Championship Tournament at the Regional Championships (2003, 2006).

BISHOP LUERS High School, IN (1997 to 2001)

Head Volleyball Coach – overall record: 87-44 

• State Semi-Finalist (1998), Regional Champions 1998,
• Sectional Champs 1998 & Sectional Runners-up 1997,1999, 2000
• Ranked in Top 10 of IHSAA class 2A for four consecutive years.
• Player recognized on Volleyball Magazine’s “Fab 50 List” (2001).

FORT WAYNE VOLLEYBALL CLUBS  (1996-2005 & 2008-2011)
